Governor General David Johnston speaks during his installation on Oct. 1, 2010, in Ottawa. Friday's throne speech is expected to be short and direct and will focus on the economy as the majority Conservative government's top priority. THE CANADIAN PRESS/Adrian Wyld
Throne Speech surprises no one....Tory throne speech echoes party platform: vows to create jobs, kill gun registry.  No surprise with the reaction from Opposition Leaders... Its funny on how Jack thinks he can do anything to stop him.

Page interrupts throne speech...A rebellious page held up a 'Stop Harper' sign during the throne speech beginning the 41st session of Parliament.  She gets fired as a Page but before the day ends she gets another job offer!

A protester holds a sign reading "Stop Harper" is lead from the room as Canada's Governor General David Johnston delivers the Speech from the Throne in the Senate chamber on Parliament Hill in OttawaThrone Speech
